Dr. Amelia May PT, DPT has been practicing in pelvic health for many years now and is passionate about empowering folks to feel their best at all stages of life, especially exercise lovers & athletes. Prior to being in the pelvic health world, she practiced in orthopedic physical therapy, when she decided to make the switch as her career interests shifted when she learned about the incredible approach here at Genesis PT & Wellness!
Dr. Amelia loves to treat any person who is willing to put in some work to improve their quality of life, but especially enjoys treating hip and back pain, return to exercise post-injury or postpartum, incontinence, prolapse, Diastasis Recti (DRA), and dyspareunia (painful intercourse). She received her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology from Kansas State University and completed her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from The University of Kansas Medical Center - if you couldn't tell, she is a Kansas City native - go Chiefs!

She knows the chaos of co-parenting,legal battles, and career demands because she’s lived it — all while working full-time in emergency medicine and raising two kids in Denver’s Central Park neighborhood.

The Birth Squad Denver provides support and programming to moms and birthers during pregnancy and postpartum. Their program is rooted in community and equity and is intentionally created with the understanding that we all need support, community, and a village as we move through pregnancy and childbirth into early parenthood.
They offer prenatal classes, postpartum groups that take place throughout the week, and monthly mom/parent; baby meetups! They also offer a number of postpartum groups specifically for Black and Spanish-speaking moms and birthers as well as a group that integrates lactation support.

Lauren Brittsan is the founder and primary therapist at MHWW. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with a Masters in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Colorado Denver and is certified in perinatal mental health.
Lauren’s passion for helping women heal through the power of counseling and community is the direct result of her drive to normalize the need for mental health support, as well as her own lived experiences.
She works with women across the reproductive lifespan - particularly those struggling with anxiety, depression, mood disorders, and individuals wanting to better understand all the stressors that come with life's changes and transitions. Lauren's specialty in perinatal mental health allows her to support those needing help as they navigate preconception planning, pregnancy, postpartum and beyond. She is trained in Perinatal Narrative Exposure Therapy (P-NET) which is a modality focusing on exploring and processing trauma related to birth, traumatic pregnancy, pregnancy/infant loss and more.
Her warm and empathetic approach makes her especially skilled at helping individuals and couples navigate difficult experiences such as high risk pregnancies and infertility. Lauren provides support to those who have experienced a perinatal loss and are in need of bereavement counseling.
Her goal is always to provide a non judgmental and warm environment where she can support her clients as they heal and cope.

Kaylan Sharp
RN, BSN, IBCLC, CLE, PCD(DONA), CCCE
Kaylan is a Registered Nurse, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, Certified Lactation Educator, DONA Certified Postpartum Doula, and CAPPA Certified Childbirth Educator. A graduate of Duke University School of Nursing in 2011, Kaylan brings a wealth of knowledge from her work in the ICU and cardiac catheterization lab. She is also First Aid/CPR certified, ensuring the safety and care of the families she supports.
Kaylan’s passion lies in educating expecting and new parents, and she teaches many of Baby Mama's classes. Her expertise extends to breastfeeding, newborn care, family organization, and promoting the mental and emotional well-being of parents. Kaylan is available for individual lactation consultations, manages client communication scheduling and virtual services. She is also certified in Gilligan's Guide, enhancing her ability to support families in their birth journey.
Outside of work, Kaylan enjoys reading, connecting with members of our community, and spending quality time with her twin sister and family. She lives in Denver with her supportive husband, Scott, and their four young children, Sawyer, Sloane, Spencer, and Sullivan. When not working with families, she is often found cheering at her kids' sporting events.
Her colleagues describe her as compassionate, hard-working, and highly knowledgeable.

Dr. Kayla Culbertson, OTD, OTR/L is the founder of Thrive and Shine Therapy LLC, specializing in pediatric occupational therapy for children aged 0-3 years. She supports a wide range of needs, including feeding (breast, bottle, and solids), tethered oral ties (tongue, lip and cheek ties), motor delays, body tension and low tone, head preference (torticollis) and head shape concerns, and gastrointestinal concerns (reflux, gassiness, constipation, frequent spit ups, etc.) Dr. Kayla uses play-based therapy, hands-on therapeutic techniques, and caregiver education throughout the therapy process. She has been trained to incorporate craniosacral fascial therapy (CFT) and craniosacral therapy (CST).
Dr. Kayla is passionate about the implementation of early intervention and using a collaborative approach. Her goal as a provider is to build relationships with families while helping them achieve their goals. She believes that every baby deserves to feel comfortable in their own body. A baby’s level of comfort impacts their function, but also the family dynamic. Dr. Kayla not only has educational and clinical experience, but also personal experience as a mother, navigating both of her sons tethered oral ties. She strongly believes that everyone deserves the opportunity to thrive and shine!
